Because of the latest high-performance, small detection head, DK800 is smaller, but has higher accuracy and resolution than the previous models.
Its minimum resolution is 0.1µm and accuracy is 1µmp-p, good enough for highly accurate measurements.
Regarding the measurement length, the 2mm type was newly added, for setting in a limited space. Additionally, a wider range of measurement is available with DK800, as its measuring length was extended by 20% from 10mm to 12mm compared to the previous model (examined by Sony), while its total length is shorter. The measurement tact of DK800 was also improved, as its maximum response speed with resolution at 0.1µm was increased more than two fold from 20 to 42m/min (examined by Sony).
